INT. SUMER TM SPACE STATION - LIFT ENTRANCE TO
"DOWN BELOW" -- NIGHT
Round room with garishly painted metal wall and double sealed view
ports. Staircase going up to landing bays on one side. Bank of
elevators on the other. In the center is a partially painted ancient
bronze statue of Ereshkigal goddess of the Sumerian underworld. Head
of a lioness, anthro body, gossamer bat wings, eagle talons on
fingers, otter feet and covered in short fur darker on legs. Her
expression is both angry and sad. A male beagle and a female Siamese
cat in starship pilot suits carrying duffel bags stop in front of the
statue.

SIAMESE CAT
A statue found on an archaeological dig
and donated to Sumer TM. Believed to be
Ereshkigal goddess of the underworld.

In a place out of space and time but definitely underground. Walls
and floor of cooled lava with some rivers of molten lava still
flowing. Amid rusted weapons, ornate but tarnished jewelry and
assorted treasures Ereshkigal; looking a little dusty and tarnished
herself; begins to awaken.

Ereshkigal stands before a partly polished full body shield checking
herself out.
ERESHKIGAL

CABIN --NIGHT
Roomy but Spartan bedroom. Picture of Natalie (snow leopardess) and
Pandai (clouded leopardess) in skimpy bikinis on a tropical beach on
one wall. Large re enforced view port showing Planet Enki and
starfield. Uniform and underwear casually thrown over chair. Files
and PADDs are stacked or strewn on the floor.
Natalie in queen-size bed already half asleep looks out window.

male beagle and a female Siamese cat from the first page lie in the
bed in the after glow of sex.
